More about Rob & Jenna

Rob is a national innovation manager and Jenna is a national communications and engagement manager. They are based in the UK and live at home in North West England with their son.

Early careers.

Rob started his working life in lay chaplaincy. He then followed in his Dad’s footsteps, moving into a career in the charity sector when he became a national development worker with the Young Christian Workers.

This shaped his passion for supporting people, helping them to realise their potential and connect to a meaningful purpose in life. He then served as a police officer for 18 years, in a variety of roles as a PC and Sergeant.

When Jenna left university, she headed straight into an account executive role with a digital marketing agency. After a while, she pursued a career in public sector communications. This has taken her through a number of different specialisms including strategic communications and stakeholder engagement, public and media relations and staff and community engagement.

Supporting communities and organisations.

In 2008, Rob co-founded a charity supporting young people at risk of criminal conviction. He served as chair of trustees and supported the charity in developing its strategic direction. He also secured over £1m of funding to develop their work.

Shortly after this, Rob and Jenna decided to set up their first agency working with local authorities, charities and businesses on strategy development, governance and building engagement with funders.

Rob and Jenna often speak at events and key institutional forums across the UK and Europe. These have included leading industry conferences, global innovation summits and a number of universities.

Charity work and academic achievements.

Their passion for charitable and professional causes never stops. Rob has served on the board of two UK charities to enhance and increase exposure for local and national organisations with the sole purpose of improving the lives of others.

Rob has a Masters Degree in Strategic Leadership, is a qualified professional coach and studied innovation management: strategy and implementation with Cranfield University. He is also in the final year of achieving a Level 7 diploma from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) for Strategic Management & Leadership.

Jenna has a BA Honours degree in Public Relations. She has continued to develop her knowledge, experience and skills in areas such as leadership, wellbeing and engagement throughout her professional career. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR).

When not Giving Socially, podcasting or working, Rob enjoys nothing more than a game of golf, reading or playing computer games with his son. Jenna loves reading a good book with a glass of wine (or a cup of tea!) and the opportunity to spend time as a family exploring the English countryside.
